He made it!!

It's been months/years in the making, but it finally happened. Zulu made it to DC. Many of you have heard me talk endlessly about him, especially when it comes to other dogs and I am now officially fostering him for my very busy cousin Bettina. I will spare you all the long story about how he got and I got to where we are. Since most of you already know, if you don't well... that's another post.
After almost a month of brainstorming on how Z would get here, we finally figured out that wonderful United Airlines would ship him as cargo. Everytime I called, I got a friendly informative agent. You can't say that for many customer service agencies these days; again, that's another post.
Anyyyywaaaayzzzz. KCC, Blackjack and I have been planning on how we were going to adjust in a household with 2 cats, 2 big dogs and one prima donna little dog. Meanwhile, ABB, Uncle Bunch and Little Cousin Betty were organizing his trip to DC. Uncle Bunch drove him to Chicago at 6am, while Blackjack and I took the day off to prepare for the big day.
Z arrived at 3:55pm in a large crate, as soon as I saw his little face, I couldn't help but jump up and down. I'm quite sure the agents at the Air Cargo claim area thought I was nuts. Blackjack figured out a way to get the kennel and dog in the jeep and after that we were happily on our way from DCA to Deep Shaw.
This is where the fun begins: I took Z for a walk around the block, seeing as how he was on a plane ride for 2 hours. Nobody likes a plane ride in enconomy class so I know it's got to really suck in the cargo class. I'm going to say he did really well, since we hadn't been out for two minutes when some man pulled over with a boxer in his car and asked me if I "studded my male". I'm not entirely sure on dog lingo, but I think he got solicited.
Then it was time. I brought him into the house and chaos ensued. For 45 minutes, little dogs were yapping and big dogs were growling, and genitals were constantly being sniffed. Finally everyone calmed down and Blackjack and I were able to have a celebratory "Furmosa". But only for a minute. Boy these creatures have alot of energy. I am happy to report, that nothing is broken. However, KCC hasn't made it home from work yet. So, the madness will begin again as soon as he gets here. Until then, I will leave you with this quiet, peaceful, beautiful image. It won't last long. Thanks Little Cousin Betty, your baby is in good hands. I love you and so does Z.
