Douchebagery
So I got rained out at work, which essencitally means I have the night off (at 10pm). And thank goodness for that because this enabled me to observe the Beltway Crowd. Let me just say that these people SUCK!! They totally just ordered shots; which is not necessarily a bad thing but when you order a SoCo Lime, a Lemon Drop, and a "I'm a Big Loser Shot". I get mad because you are taxing the bartender. And now you are so drunk you fall off your barstool as I post this! Please do me a favor, stay in your own hood and condenscend the people at your local Outback Steakhouse. They enjoy the 10-15% tip. And yes, I am bitter.

Saturday in the Park
In an effort to placate me since I was unable to go camping last weekend, Kansas City Chief and Blackjack took me on an impromptu picnic at Great Falls, VA. Sometimes it's cool to get out of the city for a little while.
NOTE: This is not really Great Falls. I forgot to take a pic so I improvised by taking one when we stopped at Gravelly Point. You get the point.

Footsteps
Off to Movie Night. Heading up the hill to the Meth Lab to watch bad movies and eat green slime. Maybe there will be a tasty taco amongst that sludge.
Becky Lynne's Virgin Voyage; Sunken Ship
LaQweshah was taking Becky on a maiden voyage to the Lebanese bar directly diagonal from the NW part of the district. As LaQweshah's mama Shirley Q says "I loves me a bulldagga".
Alas, the lebisians don't go out til late (The construction sites shut down at 745) so the doors were closed til 8.

LaQweshah and Becky Lynne do Baby Backs and Bloody Marys
After our delicious breakfast at the soul food joint, where we paid at the counter. We did a little window shopping and T-Shirt buying at the newish boutiques on U Street. Then headed to the Benjamin so The District could pretend to work, and by work I mean we updated our facebook pages. Sorry if you got a Madonna thrown at you. We didn't quite get around to frying up spam treats but we did perform our wholesome duties for the day and made green jello and pistachio pudding for movie night (I know, don't ask, something to do with Kitzy O'Reilley which is never good). Anyway, we have finally come to our senses and got to the closest place that will serve us. Just in time for Happy Hour $4.00 Baby Back Ribs and $3.00 Spicy Bloody Marys. I like hanging with District on his B-Day. He's a cheap date.
And So It Begins...
The Disrict and I are starting out Day 11 with a nutritious birthday breakfast at Torrie's at Wison's. Then we're off to make deep fried spam treats.
Happy Birthday District, Day 11. The Passing of the Baton (Thank BeJeebus!) Never thought I'd say that out loud...
I have to admit, I'm a little bit ashamed of myself. I have searched through my files and for the life of me I cannot find a picture of The District!! I think the both of us are so busy taking pictures of our friends having a good time, that we didn't stop to capture ourselves in the moments of our glory. I see a photo session in our future... (Where you at Annie Lebowitz?)
Anyway Love, I have to say that you are one of my bestest friends and I truly do love you. Thank you for being such a wonderful, loving human being and allowing me to know and love your family. I wish you the best and I look forward to the many good times we will have to come.
Happy Half 70th Friend!!!
Tell Yo' Mama I axed how she be durrin!!

One More Thing
Did I mention that we are sitting in the same spot where a young BoSox once got spooged on when this place was a gay boy nudie bar? Ahh The Good Ol' Days.
More From Nats Ball Park
UPDATE: Chili Dog with jalepeno's and sour cream. Dee-lish! The line at Ben's was way too long for that overrated place so we went to Hard Times instead (BoSox you were right about that place sister. That chili is off the hizzy!) The temperature has dropped to a cool and stagnant 86 degrees, The Nats are losing (this team sure has alot of Mexicans, you would think that that would be an advantage. So much for stereotypes) it's the 7th inning i.e. last call and they are making us sing that stupid cracker jack song, so KCC and I are taking our sweaty bodies to a going away party. The District is wisely continuing rehab for another day by cleaning his house, so I must represent Day 9 before I pass the baton to him for Day 10. Tag! You're it!!
Game Day
At Nationals Park with Kansas City Chief. Thanks to some random generous tattooed hottie at Solly's who gave me tickets that are some pretty good seats. We even have our own personal Bud Man. What a lovely surprise for Day 9 of Birthday Month. Hot Tattoo boy must be really generous cause The Bundy's are here too! A baseball game isn't a game without a hot dog, so we are off to Ben's for a tasty treat.

Bad Morning

Here I sit
With my shoes mismated
Lawdy-Mercy!
I's frustrated
Langston Hughes
Actually, it's nobodys Bad Morning and I'm not wearing shoes I just love the fact that that was the first thing I read at 'breakfast' yesterday with The District. I had a great day and I would like to take a moment, ok several, to personally thank all of you that made it a fantastic day and let those of you who were unable to be there know what a wonderful time that I had.
Cast: In order of Appearance (names have been changed to protect the not so innocent)
Seamstress - First and foremost, I want to thank you for making me such a fabulous dress. Gurl, I know you worked super hard and spent many a sleepless and agonizing night over this thing (I say 'this thing' cause I may still be wearing it...story to follow) but it was worth it trust me. I really didn't mind riding up and down those hills to the fittings.
BoSox - Thanks for the shout out post?
The District - Friend, it just wouldn't be a birthday without you. Thank you for starting the day off right!! You powered through the afternoon to be my personal shopper and then almost jeopardized your reputation by almost getting arrested for shoplifting. I'm not sure whether I should be proud or worried that you made it to Day 5 of birthday month, but I'm glad you are going on a retreat this weekend to celebrate your daughter's birthday. Thank goodness she doesn't drink...yet.
Cynthia - Thanks for kicking, err I mean letting The District out of the house to hang out with me. You got a handful to deal with sister and I do not envy you. Love you sister, mean it.
Baby Lisa - I waited for you all day!!! Happy Birthday girl. I miss you. See you when the deck is done.
Dog in a Bag - My birthday wouldn't be complete with out that cacophonous melody. Thanks for 'singing' to me.
Every
Single
Year
Little Betty - In the words of my girl Mimi Shake it Off sister. Tell him to Call Tyrone but he can't use your phone...
Sister Disco - I'm glad you were there to help me pick out accessories for my Fabulous Frock, although I looked like the crackhead shoplifter, it gives me a warm fuzzy to know that you were the one to get stopped by security after I left.
Mexican - I heart you sister. I'm glad you have a job but I'm not glad you have a job. Congratulations on your new Hobbit Hole. Basement living is good times, take it from a veteran. I know you worry about living alone, but take solice in the fact that if you die in your sleep, I will make sure that the authorities look at Tchop as the first suspect.
Blackjack - It was so comforting that you were the first face I saw in the 703. I'm happy that you made the voyage to have Tex-Mex with me.
Twin Brother - It was good to see you, and thanks for bringing us back to civilzation after dinner. I wish your plus one and your twin sister could have been there. I guess someone we know has to have a bed time and stick to it. Thanks for being there.
Mary Rice - Well friend, you already live and work in the VA so I know it wasn't a trek for you. But thanks for leaving Call of Duty to come hang out. Oh wait, you didn't have power, I would want to get out of my house too if all I had to do was light candles and read books. Good to see your face friend. Dags I missed your face, are they allowed to sell wine in Alabama?
Puff and Candy - What a great card!! You guys do so much for us all. Thank you for being in my life. I won't tell any one that the meth lab was the cause of the manhole explosions.
Peanut & RSVP - Oh my little A-listers. Thank you for slumming it with us, even if it was just for a minute. RSVP, the only boy I know that can pull off red pants, a baby blue v-neck and a hairy chest. You make a mean cupcake.
Kansas City Chief - Thanks for leaving your party in ADAMS MORGAN to join mine. Am I gonna have to bust up into the 'fish and let your biznatches know what time it is? Tell Nickel and her pretty little Geisha tag along that I was here before them and I will be here long after them. Man it sucks getting old.
Mei Ling, Chow Foon & Chef Fuck Yourself - You guys make Joe's Crab Shack the best place to work. I know that when you guys are there that it's gonna be a great night. Thanks for hanging out and more importantly, thank you for my present. That Jack Daniels is some pretty tasty stuff, I have to try that again sometime ;)
Big Ed - You mean the world to me friend. Thanks for finally realizing what day it was. Sorry I called you a Shiftless fill in the blank. I know it's hard out there for a Pimp, but you keep on keepin' on brother. I promise I'll fry chicken for you one day.
Ming Tsai - Thank you for...well, thanks for just being you. I'm glad you liked my dress ;)
Last but not least
RITA JEAN - You are a fantastic cruise director and a gracious host. The field trip was great, despite the daunting metro ride. (Note to self a cab to and from the VA is only $22 ) and dinner was fantastic. Thank you for coordinating this venture and more thanks for tucking me in. Dawn complimented me on the way out. See you at Breakfast and by breakfast I mean Happy Hour
